Emily Williams Moves Up To 12th Place In The UK
Manchester-based lawyer, Emily Williams, has been ranked as the highest rated UK Planning Solicitor across the Northern region - according to the sector’s leading trade publication.
Planning magazine provides a ranking of the leading 30 lawyers operating in the sector every year and according to its latest league table, Emily Williams, an Associate at national law firm Irwin Mitchell, moved up from joint 19th to 12th position.
In addition to outperforming a number of high profile lawyers several of whom head up national Planning teams, Emily was the highest ranked Planning solicitor in the survey who is based in the North of England.
Planning magazine’s survey was first published in 1998 and is designed to help planners identify the solicitors and law firms which are best equipped to deal with planning issues. This year’s report received almost 3,000 nominations.
Emily has extensive experience in planning and related public, highways, infrastructure and compulsory purchase law and deals with a wide range of non-contentious and contentious planning work.
This includes; planning obligations, applications for permission for judicial review and statutory challenges, planning appeals, minerals and waste, renewable energy schemes and related advice.
She advises a wide range of commercial clients dealing with planning applications and planning inquiries, instructing Counsel and expert witnesses taking a strategic advisory and project management role for clients in connection with high profile and often controversial proposals.
