The last few months have been busy for our northern transactions team – indeed over the last six months, the team has completed 35 deals across a broad range of sectors. The real estate team has been extremely active also, advising on some of the region’s largest and highest profile deals.
A range of the deals that the teams have advised on recently include:
Finance Yorkshire – Irwin Mitchell advised on the recent restructuring of a £90m funding arrangement for Finance Yorkshire involving BIS, EIB, ERDF and each of the fund managers.
Fox Wire – Irwin Mitchell advised Fox Wire on its equity-linked investment from Yorkshire and multi-million pound refinancing with HSBC.
Chocolate Works – Irwin Mitchell advised Henry Boot Developments on its deal to acquire the former Terry’s chocolate factory in York. The historic, 27-acre site, dubbed ‘The Chocolate Works’, has been bought by Henry Boot Developments together with York housebuilder, David Wilson Homes.
Winder – Irwin Mitchell advised YFM Equity Partners on its disposal of Winder power, the manufacturer of power distribution and generation.
