Mini-Motorcycle death
Police are questioning a man over the death of a young girl who was a passenger on a mini-motorcycle that collided with a pick-up truck.
Lincolnshire Police said the three-year-old had been a passenger on the motorcycle when it collided with a Ford Ranger pick-up in Louth. She was taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A force spokesman said the truck had been coming out of a garage access road when the incident happened.
"It would appear that the mini-motorcycle has been travelling along the footpath and has collided with the vehicle which at the time was emerging from a garage access road between two houses," he said.
"The three-year-old girl was a passenger on the mini-motorcycle."
The spokesman added: "A man has been arrested in connection with the death of the child and is currently under arrest for causing death by dangerous driving. Investigations at the minute are proceeding but are very much in their infancy."
