Personal injury solicitors have helped a woman to claim compensation after she slipped on a wet floor in a supermarket.
The 55 year old woman was shopping in a supermarket in May 2012 when the accident happened. She was walking by the flower stand and slipped on a puddle of water on the floor.
The fall caused soft tissue injuries and bruising to her right hip, and a laceration to her elbow. She was taken to A & E where she was x-rayed and had her wounds dressed. As well as the physical injures, the woman also suffered from shock and anxiety.
Following the accident, the woman was very restricted in what she could do at work. She could not bend or lift well and also faced problems using scissors, opening containers, preparing food and gardening.
The supermarket involved admitted liability for the accident and the woman received £2,500 in an out of Court settlement.
