Personal Injury Specialist Katrina Elsey has secured compensation for a woman who was injured when she slipped on a wet floor at a Supermarket.
The woman was shopping in her local Asda supermarket in Sheffield on 12 September 2011 when the accident happened.
She was walking down an aisle when she slipped on the wet floor and landed on her left hip. The fall caused soft tissue injuries and bruising to her left hip, shoulder and arm.
The symptoms lasted for approximately six weeks and during this time, she had to take painkillers. She also had frequent visits from her family while she recovered as she lives alone and needed help with shopping.
The woman contacted Irwin Mitchell for advice about making a claim and was represented by Katrina Elsey of Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office.
Katrina gathered medical evidence which confirmed her injuries and helped obtain an out of courts settlement for £1,750.
