Our client was cycling along the road when an unexpected collision occurred. The Defendant pulled out of a garage colliding with the cyclist's rear wheel causing her to fall from her cycle.
The cyclist was wearing fluorescent clothing including a high visibility jacket, waistcoat and helmet. Her bicycle was also displaying lights.
The cyclist injured her right shoulder, elbow and right hip and she suffered bruising to her right leg, her left inner leg, and a burn injury to her right elbow.
Following the accident, the cyclist was unable to cycle and domestic chores were compromised. She has been left with a faint scar to the right elbow.
The Defendant admitted liability and the case was settled out of Court with the cyclist recovering £1,496.
