Special Event Being Held This Month
Irwin Mitchell’s chairman Michael Napier has been announced as the chair of a special panel debate being held to mark the start of National Pro Bono Week 2011.
Set to take place on November 7th, the event at the Law Society’s Hall on Chancery Lane in London will see Mr Napier lead a group of experts in a discussion about the benefits of pro bono work and how its delivery could change over the next decade.
The debate – which marks the tenth year of National Pro Bono Week – will also include consideration of how the Legal Services Act and the introduction of Alternative Business Structures could impact on the area, as well as the growing prominence of technology in the sector.
It is an area close to Michael’s heart due to his work as the Attorney General’s pro bono envoy – a role which sees him both promote and coordinate activity related to the area both in the UK and abroad.
Joining Michael in the debate will be panel members including Lord Neuberger, director of Legal Action Group Steve Hynes and Professor Andy Boon.
