Fatal Work Accident In Lincolnshire
A man has died after an incident at an oil refinery near Immingham, North East Lincolnshire, police said.
Officers were called to the site as the Lindsey refinery in North Killingholme where the man was taken to Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
The 50-year-old, from Hartlepool, was pronounced dead at hospital on Saturday. His family have been informed.
Humberside Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
Oil giant Total, which runs the refinery, confirmed that an incident had taken place, but declined to comment further.

David Urpeth from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: “The circumstances of this fatal accident at work are not yet known. However, it’s clear that something went terribly wrong leading to this work accident.
“Let’s hope that there is a swift enquiry and that any lessons that can be learnt are learnt, so that the further tragic loss of life in an accident at work can be avoided.”
