Industrial Accident In Ashby
An industrial accident on a farm in Ashby has left a teenager with a serious hand injury.
The 18-year-old male, who is from the area, was airlifted to hospital following the incident at around 10.30am on Thursday.
He was treated by the air ambulance's medical team at the scene and given an anaesthetic.
The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance received a call and arrived at the scene in less than 10 minutes.
He was then airlifted to Royal Derby Hospital.

David Urpeth from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: “This was a horrific accident at work. The agricultural industry, is the second most likely industrial sector where a worker is likely to be killed or seriously injured.
“The circumstance of this work accident are currently unknown. However, something obviously went very wrong.
“I regularly have to assist workers pursue their compensation claim following a serious or fatal accident at work.”
