Bus Crash
A motorist has been killed and seven people injured when a bus and car collided on a Shropshire road.
Daniel Richards, 25, was driving his Renault Megane along Pulley Lane, Shrewsbury, when he was in a collision with a single decker Arriva Midlands bus travelling in the opposite direction.
The drivers of both vehicles had to be cut free after becoming trapped, but ambulance crews were unable to save Mr Richards.
The bus driver was taken to hospital where he was treated for leg and rib injuries.
Six passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries in the collision. All the patients were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment.
One woman suffered a fractured wrist, a second woman suffered leg injuries, a man suffered a chest injury, another man suffered a leg injury while two further women were treated for shock.
Anyone who witnessed the crash has been asked to contact West Mercia Police.
