Driver Injured
A man had to be cut from his 4x4 after losing control of the vehicle, rebounding off a grass bank and rolling it several times before coming to a halt, police have said.
The 31-year-old driver was taken to hospital with a suspected broken back and serious internal injuries after the crash in West Knighton, Dorchester. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Police had to close the road and introduce diversions as firefighters removed the roof of the Isuzu Bighorn to release the driver. An emergency doctor was also called to the scene.
Dorset Police said the man, believed to be from the Dorchester area, was taken to Pool General Hospital with "life-threatening injuries."
The road was closed for almost four hours until the car was recovered, a police spokesman said.
