West Yorkshire Dog Attack
A one-year-old boy has died in hospital after he was attacked by relative's family Rottweiler in West Yorkshire.
The child was taken to Pinderfields General Hospital where he later died of serious injuries following the attack which took place in his relative's yard in Wakefield.
Yorkshire Ambulance Paramedics and Police officers were called to the scene and the dog was destroyed to ensure the safety of others.
Katrina Elsey from law firm Irwin Mitchell said: "as this tragic case demonstrates unfortunately, dogs can be potentially dangerous animals and the personal injury that a dog attack can cause can have serious, lasting effects."
