Our client was involved in an incident on 30 March 2011 when she attended a local beauty salon to have a facial treatment.
She had already notified the salon prior to booking that she had sensitive skin. She was assured that the procedure was appropriate and wouldn't harm her skin. The treatment involved a facial scrub, placing her face into a steam machine, and creams being applied.
Despite our client making the salon aware of her sensitive skin, she suffered redness to her face for around a week after the treatment. She has been left with broken capillaries on her cheeks and now suffers from temperature sensitive redness, which appears as blotching on the skin, on her cheeks, nose and chin.
Experts at Irwin Mitchell helped our client recover £500 compensation in an out of court settlement.
