Our client, a 13 year old girl, tripped and fell whilst at school and suffered a fracture to her leg.
The girl was descending the stairs at her school when she tripped and fell. One of the steps was damaged, with part broken off. She tripped on this broken step and lost her balance, causing her to fall down the flight of stairs.
She sustained a fracture to the femur bone, in her right leg and also suffered soft tissue injuries to other areas.
A claim was made against the school for the injury she sustained, the care she required following the accident and the out of pocket expenses incurred by her family.
Irwin Mitchell was able to secure an out of court settlement for £13,500 in compensation for the girl.
