Tripped and Injured Knee
Ms X was walking down the road on the pavement when she inadvertently placed her foot in an area of uneven ground and then tripped on the protruding edge within the pavement. Ms Z fell forwards hitting her knee.

Ms Z was shopping at a local shopping centre and, as she was walking along, she tripped on a hole caused by a piece of missing carpet. Ms Z suffered a soft tissue injury to her shoulder. She was unable to do the level of swimming she did prior to her accident and was unable to do household tasks for a few weeks.
Ms Z received a settlement of £4,500.00.
Ms Y was shopping as a customer in a local supermarket. As she was walking down one of the aisles containing frozen goods she was caused to slip and fall as a result of a wet substance on the floor.
Ms Y suffered a soft tissue injury to her left knee. The symptoms lasted a month and, during this time she found it difficult to carry out some of her daily chores.
Ms Y received an out of court settlement of £1,900.00.
