CICA Claim For Assault
A man who suffered serious injuries in an assault has been awarded the maximum available compensation under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) scheme.
As no-one was charged following the assault on our client in 2004, which left him unable to work, a claim was started under the CICA scheme by Sarah Brumpton of Irwin Mitchell's specialist Criminal Injury Claims Team, based in Leeds.
Sarah said, "This is a tragic case where a family man, who previously was the life and soul of the party, changed completely as a result of the attack.
"This award has enabled him to buy a new, specially adapted home and to pay for additional care."
If you or a loved one has suffered as a result of a violent assault, our criminal injury solicitors could help you to secure compensation. See our Assault Compensation Claims page for more information.
