Irwin Mitchell’s specialised road traffic accidents team has helped a man claim £15,000 in compensation after he was involved in a collision while travelling on his motorbike.
Our client, who was 38 at the time, was riding his motorbike on the inside lane of a dual carriageway. He was approaching a slip road where traffic was entering the dual carriageway.
As he approached, a vehicle entered the slip road prematurely by crossing the chevrons that separated the slip road and the dual carriageway. The vehicle clipped the rear of our client’s motorbike causing him to be thrown into the front of his bike.
As a result of the accident our client sustained fractures to his right wrist and left little finger as well as a number of lacerations to his other fingers. He also sustained a number of soft tissue grazes to the right upper arm, right hip, left wrist and both knees.
Our client also started suffering from panic attacks post accident and had to take one week off work before returning to light duties.
Our client decided to contact Irwin Mitchell’s specialised road traffic accidents team and one of experienced solicitors, Roslyn Holmes, was able to deal with his claim.
The driver of the car admitted blame for the accident and with this, Rosalyn was able to secure our client £15,000 in compensation in an out-of-court settlement.
