Our client was involved in an accident at her local supermarket in January 2010 whilst using the cash machine outside their premises.
What Happened?
She parked her car in the supermarket car park, completed her transaction at the cash machine and then headed back towards her car. Whilst walking back to her car, our client had to walk between parked cars, near to a mobile car wash, and as she did so she slipped and landed heavily on her back. She was initially in extreme pain, very dazed and shocked and when she regained her awareness she realised she was laying on a patch of ice which had not been gritted.
How Was She Hurt?
Our client attended A&E and was found to have fractured her spine in three places and advised to completely rest her back and take painkillers until it had healed.
What Was The Outcome?
We recovered £40,000 for her in an out of Court settlement in January 2013.
