Our specialist personal injury team has helped a retired lady get compensation after she was injured in a slip at a supermarket.
Our client was involved in an accident in September 2009. She was shopping in a supermarket and as she was walking along the frozen foods aisle, she slipped and fell; banging her head on a shelf and landing heavily on her right hip and shoulder. She believes she slipped on a piece of banana.
Our client suffered a fractured hip, dislocated right shoulder and a minor head injury in the fall.
The supermarket, via their insurance company, denied responsibility for the accident, so we issued court proceedings on behalf of our client.
Before the case reached court, we were able to negotiate compensation of £10,000 for our client.
If you've been injured in a supermarket and it wasn't your fault, our personal injury claims team could help you claim compensation. See our Supermarket Accident Claims page for more information.
