A man from Sheffield has been awarded compensation following a slip on ice at a petrol station forecourt.
Our client, a 62-year-old taxi driver, was putting air into his tyres at the petrol station on 26 December 2010. As he walked around the car, he slipped on ice which had accumulated on the forecourt.
He sustained soft tissue injuries to his neck and back, together with a blow to his head leading to nausea and dizziness. The nausea and dizziness was short lived and medical evidence confirmed that he had made a full recovery from his injuries within six months.
The Defendant accepted that they were liable for the accident. Damages were settled without the need to go to court and out client received £2,000, plus payment of the legal costs.
