A woman in Slough has received £25,500 in compensation after being injured in a road traffic accident.
In December 2008 our client was travelling along a road when she collided head on with a vehicle that was on the wrong side of the road.
Our client initially suffered with severe neck, chest and arm pain with bruising to her forearm. The chest and arm pain subsided after two days but the neck pain continued to cause her distress. She then began to develop a panic disorder approximately four months after the accident. This was in the form of increased nervousness and episodes of panic in normal day to day situations, such as going shopping or in social situations.
Due to this condition our client was unable to work consistently and her sleeping, driving, usual household activities were all affected.
With the help Rosalyn Holmes of the Sheffield Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell, she was able to settle the claim in May 2012 and received £25,500 in an out of court settlement. Both Rosalyn and the client were extremely satisfied with the result.
