Our client sustained a fractured knee injury requiring surgery after she attended a local sports/recreation ground on 19 January 2010 and fell into a large unmarked trench.
A number of large holes/trenches had been dug to fit fence posts.
A claim was intimated against the occupier of the sportsground and liability was fiercely disputed despite overwhelming evidence in support of the claim.
Medical evidence was obtained and disclosed and a settlement was eventually reached to the global sum of £17,500, which includes the cost of private future surgery to remove metal work from the claimant's leg.
If you've been injured due to a slip, trip or fall, our personal injury lawyers could help you claim compensation. See our Slips, Trips and Falls Claims page for more information.
