A woman has received compensation after slipping and falling in her local supermarket.
At 6am on Christmas Eve in 2010 Ms X was visiting her local Sainsbury's store when she slipped upon ice cream in the dairy aisle.
As it was early morning, no First Aider was available and Ms X was unable to formally report the accident.
As a result of the fall, Ms X suffered pain in her lower back over the Christmas period.
A claim was made through Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Accidents in Public Places Team. Liability was admitted and she received an out of court settlement of £4,250.
