A Midlands woman has received £35,000 compensation as a result of a head on collision.
The woman had been driving home when the Defendant collided with the front of her vehicle as he attempted to overtake traffic. Her vehicle was thrown into a ditch and she was transferred to hospital via ambulance, sustaining internal bruising throughout her body.
Unfortunately the woman continued to suffer serious psychological effects following the accident, leaving her unable to drive even short journeys. She was required to leave her job and rely on help from friends and relatives.
The claim was settled by Tania Bains of Irwin Mitchell's Fast Track Team at the Birmingham office.
Miss Bains said, “as a result of the negligence of the defendant, my client suffered significant psychological symptoms when driving. We secured compensation for her physical and psychological injuries along with her loss of earnings.
As we care passionately about our clients, we were also able to secure funds for appropriate treatment and counselling, ensuring our client could return to driving independently."
