A university student from Wolverhampton has received compensation of £20,000 in an out of court settlement after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident.
The accident was caused by the driver of the car in which our client was the front seat passenger. The driver was driving at excessive speed along small roads.
As a result of the crash our client suffered a head injury, whiplash, facial and dental injuries and bruising. She also became a very anxious driver. For the following two years she suffered from daily headaches and also neck pain, both of which continue.
Ann Hunter, a serious injury solicitor at Irwin Mitchell, who successfully fought the case, explained: "My client was injured because the driver she trusted to take her home drove in a reckless and dangerous way.
"My client has been determined to get on with her life as much as possible, successfully completing her A levels and now studying to become a primary school teacher, however, she continues to suffer with ongoing symptoms so this compensation will enable her to undergo an intensive course of therapy and offer her protection for her future.”
