The Guide For 2022 Reflect Firm’s Leading Position As One Of The UKs Top Law Firms
Published on 21 October, the Chambers and Partners UK2022 rankings have revealed another set of impressive results for teams and individuals at Irwin Mitchell.
This year sees 55 legal teams ranked in total, including 27 top tier rankings. The results are complemented by 146 lawyers being individually ranked this year and 17 recognised by Chambers for the first time.
A key source of legal market intelligence for over 30 years in the UK, Chambers and Partners ranks both law firms and solicitors to provide local knowledge and market insight. The guide covers 77 specialist areas of law for those looking for expert legal services in the UK.
Chambers is conducted by 200 research analysts, across hundreds of jurisdictions and provides nearly 6,000 rankings tables. The guide also collects hundreds of thousands of responses from clients, the majority via in-depth interview.
The publication of the 2022 Chambers guide follows an equally impressive performance by Irwin Mitchell in the 2022 Legal 500 Guide, which saw the firm named a top tier law firm in 32 separate practice areas and recommended in 63 others.
Expert Opinion
“It’s good to see that in the Legal 500 and now in Chambers, we have maintained our position as a top law firm in both our departmental and individual rankings.
“The number of complimentary comments is also an important reminder that the hard work that goes into achieving these results is all about supporting our clients. All these positive rankings and kind words act as an important benchmark on where we are as a business and the indications are that we are getting it right at a time when our clients need our support the most.
“Over a difficult period of challenge and change, we have continued to demonstrate our human touch in a positive and professional way and on that basis, I want to congratulate our colleagues who have been recognised by Chambers and all our teams on their success and the incredible work they continue to do in support of our clients and communities.” Andrew Tucker - CEO
The Chambers rankings reflect a string of success stories for Irwin Mitchell this year, with the firm announcing a 93% retention rate for newly qualified solicitors and the adoption of a Flexible by Choice policy, allowing colleagues to work where and when they want, subject to client requirements.
Continued improvements in both the Chambers and Legal 500 guides follow an 11th consecutive year of growth for the 2020-21 financial year, with turnover up to £275.8m.
