Support For Charity Of The Year
A team of Leeds legal experts are continuing their funds-raising efforts to support a Yorkshire-based charity.
Irwin Mitchell’s Charity Of The Year, Maggie’s Yorkshire, has been affected by the recent pandemic, and the firm’s Leeds office is keen to ensure that cancer patients and their carers are still receiving the support they need.
David King, a specialist serious injury lawyer and keen amateur guitarist, performed a remote gig which included an instrumental set from the grounds of the Green Dragon pub in Hardraw and a vocal set from home. He has raised £370 so far, which will be doubled by the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation at the end of the year.
A team also took part in a virtual cocktail making masterclass hosted by Three’s A Crowd and a sponsored Halloween pumpkin carving competition, both in aid of Maggie’s Yorkshire.
Expert Opinion
“Supporting our Charity Of The Year has never been more important, as many are struggling to provide their services during Covid-19.
Maggie’s Yorkshire does a fantastic job in supporting those affected by cancer, and we are delighted to be able to help them during what has been a particularly difficult year.”

The latest efforts follow on from Irwin Mitchell’s Charities Foundation Leeds Committee ‘5Q 5K Nomination Challenge’ in August which raised money to contribute towards a dedicated cancer helpline run by Maggie’s Yorkshire staff.
