I am an Associate Solicitor in the Serious Injury department of the Leeds office. I specialise in helping people who have suffered brain and/or spinal injuries, often as a result of a road accident or an accident at work.
Many of our clients have also suffered severe orthopaedic and/or psychological injuries. We help our clients to claim compensation and, importantly, gain access to appropriate rehabilitation.
The most rewarding aspect of my role is assisting people who have suffered life-changing injuries and having the opportunity to make a difference for them and their families in a sector which really matters. It is very rewarding to help people get the care, therapy, accommodation, and transport that they need as a result of an injury which was caused by someone else.
Irwin Mitchell takes pride in the quality of its work and has lawyers with genuine expertise in their specialist areas. It is an excellent environment in which to learn from some of the best lawyers in their field.
We adopt a team approach and always help each other out, making for a good work environment, as well as excellent results for clients. I get along well with my colleagues, who are a fun and caring bunch.
Securing the best possible outcome for the client is the primary objective. In personal injury cases, there is a rehabilitation-focused approach aimed at ensuring the best possible recovery for the client from their injuries.
At Irwin Mitchell, we are not afraid of taking on difficult cases and often secure excellent results for clients who have cases which are challenging in relation to liability.
Away from the office, I enjoy playing amateur league football (11 a side and 5 a side), playing the guitar, singing in an amateur choir, yoga, eating out with my wife, socialising with friends, and holidays.
"I thank you for your continued support for all the work you and your colleagues have done on my case, and will gladly recommend your company to anyone."
"We can’t praise you enough for the hours of work that have been done. We always knew it was a difficult case, but you worked hard to bring it to a successful conclusion. It has been a difficult time since our son’s accident, but we are pleased that he now has funds to help provide for his need."
“Adversity United provides an excellent service to the local community, and I am very proud to be able to raise vital funds for such a worthy cause.
I first completed the half marathon in aid of the club last May, and in November I nominated Cameron for a Children Of Courage Award under the Achievement In Sport category. He deservedly won the award and I am delighted to have been part of this journey with him.”
“I was delighted to take part in the walk again, and help raise money for Child Brain Injury Trust.
“Through our work at Irwin Mitchell, we see the great work the charity does, not only in helping those who have suffered a brain injury, but also supporting their loved ones.
“We enjoy a good relationship with the charity. I am already looking forward to tying my laces for the third hike next year to see if we can raise even more money.”
“At Irwin Mitchell, we believe in building strong links within the communities in which we work and supporting good local causes.
“Cameron’s passion for sport and his commitment to helping others are a huge inspiration and we are delighted to offer our support to him.
“Through our work, we have seen on numerous occasions how sport has been able to help our clients with rehabilitation following serious injury.
“Unfortunately, while there are over 12 million people with disabilities in the UK, only one in six actually takes part in sport regularly.
“Part of this is due to the lack of funding and availability of specialist equipment and, with that in mind, we hope these grants will help support individuals and sports groups so they can realise their true potential.”
“As part of our on-going Don’t Quit Do It campaign, we want to encourage an increased participation in disability sport, and the Challenge gave the children a fun opportunity to do so.
“It was truly rewarding to be a part of such a great initiative and to see children working together in teams and enjoying sport that has been adapted to their needs. Not only did we support the day, but we both got stuck in with demonstrating the sports to the children, as well as being able to referee some boccia games that the children loved.”
