Irwin Mitchell's Corporate Team Advises On The Deal
The Corporate team at the London office of law firm Irwin Mitchell has advised on a deal which has seen The British Honey Company (BHC) float on the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market.
BHC owns a number of spirit brands, including the premium brand, Keepr's, with an established market presence through supermarkets such as Waitrose, Majestic and Amazon as well as specialist outlets, including Not On The High Street, Masters of Malt and HT Drinks.
An associated placing with institutional investors was oversubscribed, raising over £4m. The proceeds will mainly be used for working capital purposes, strengthening BHC's balance sheet and funding selective acquisitions.
Cairn Financial Advisers is acting as the Aquis Stock Exchange corporate adviser, with Stanford Capital Partners as the broker.
Corporate partner, James Paton-Philip, of law firm Irwin Mitchell, advised the corporate adviser & broker on the transaction. He was assisted by Charlie Milsom (Associate).
Chief executive Michael Williams said: "We are delighted by the considerable support from our new shareholders in this fundraise, which was significantly oversubscribed. This IPO represents a landmark moment for BHC and will enable the business to grow both organically and through acquisitions as we continue to build our market share in the global spirits industry.”
