St Catherine’s Hospice Once Again Named Irwin Mitchell’s Charity Of The Year
St Catherine’s Hospice is set for a fundraising boost after colleagues at the Gatwick office of Irwin Mitchell nominated the organisation to be their Charity of the Year for the second year in a row.
The national law firm’s annual charity initiative sees staff across each of its 13 offices take part in a vote to select a good cause which they can support through both voluntary work and fundraising events.
It is part of work undertaken by the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation (IMCF), an independent charity founded in 1997 which has raised more than £1.8 million for charities in the UK and abroad.
This year, the Gatwick office of Irwin Mitchell has voted to once again give its support to St Catherine’s Hospice, which provides support and end of life care to people across the regions of West Sussex and East Surrey.

Irwin Mitchell colleagues raised over £7,500 in 2018 for the charity and are expecting to reveal their grand total next month. The vital funds raised will go towards helping St Catherine’s help more people in our community in the future.
Suzanne Davis, Corporate Fundraiser at St Catherine’s said: “Irwin Mitchell’s Gatwick colleagues are fantastic, enthusiastic supporters of our hospice. They’ve tackled everything from marathons to firewalks, and cake sales to Dragon Boat racing. And we’re looking forward to finding out their final total. Irwin Mitchell’s Gatwick colleagues have helped us be there to provide care and support to local people with a life limiting illness. And we’re delighted their staff have chosen to support us for another year. We’re looking forward to continuing to work together so we can help even more local people and their families when life comes full circle.”
