World Cancer Day Is Marked 4th February Every Year
Members from the Manchester office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell have taken action to mark World Cancer Day.
World Cancer Day is annually marked on 4 February as a day that unites people, communities and entire countries to raise awareness and take action.
Take action is exactly what the Irwin Mitchell team are doing with members of the Manchester office being encouraged to help decorate ‘leaves’ to be placed on a chalkboard tree located in the office.
The leaves, along with being decorated, contain a message or thought related to the day.
Ros Bever, Regional Managing Partner of the Manchester office, said:
Expert Opinion“World Cancer Day is a great cause and, as an office, we wanted to mark it.
“Through our work, we see first-hand the devastating effects that cancer can have. Not only on the one diagnosed with it, but also their friends and families.
“By marking the day, we wanted to show our support to those who have been affected by cancer.” Ros Bever - Partner
On World Cancer Day, the Manchester office are hosting a delegation from The Christie Hospital, the office’s Charity of the Year, and plan to do a cheque presentation in front of the decorated tree.
Expert Opinion“We are proud to support one of the largest hospital charities in the UK in The Christie.
