Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds Office Backs Local Disability Sports Team
A top disability sports team in Leeds has received a funding boost from the local office of Irwin Mitchell, as part of the law firm’s continued commitment to promoting the many benefits of being active.
Leeds Powerchair Football Club has been given a £500 grant from the national law firm and has already revealed plans to put the funds towards the purchase of a new club camera.
As well as taking photos of its players in training and matches, the club hopes to use the equipment to film their games so sides can then review the footage and further develop their performance, tactics and skills.
Irwin Mitchell has provided Leeds Powerchair Football Club with the financial support as part of its ongoing Don’t Quit, Do It campaign. Created to highlight the benefits of getting involved in disability sport, the initiative is backed by multiple gold medal-winning Paralympian Hannah Cockroft MBE.
Sarah Coles, a Partner and medical negligence expert at Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office, said:
