National Law Firm Showcases Commitment To Developing Next Generation Of Legal Talent
National law firm Irwin Mitchell has reiterated its commitment to developing the next generation of legal talent after welcoming over 50 trainee solicitors to the firm.
A total of 53 trainee solicitors have commenced their induction with the firm, ahead of starting their seats with one of the firm’s personal injury, private wealth or business legal services teams in 12 of the organisation’s offices across the country on 28 August.
As well as acquiring key legal skills and experience during their seats, the trainees will also undertake significant training including Professional Skills Courses in key areas of advocacy and communication, finance and business skills, as well as client care and professional standards.
This year’s intake of trainees were recruited from 27 different universities, with 79% from law degrees and 21% from non-law degrees including English Literature, Modern Languages and Philosophy & Politics, further recognition of the firm’s wide-ranging, inclusive, award-winning trainee solicitor programme, which is operated and managed by its graduate team.
Craig Thompson, Head of Graduate and Apprentice Recruitment at Irwin Mitchell, said: “We are delighted to welcome our latest trainees into the organisation. As a firm we are passionate about helping our people to develop their skills and further their career, recognising that the right talent can be absolutely crucial in helping us achieve our aims.
“Many of our current Partners were previously trainees here and have worked their way up. We are very passionate about supporting and developing our staff. Both myself and our fantastic graduate recruitment team wish all of our new trainees the very best and hope that they have a fulfilling and rewarding career with us.”
