Over £22,500 Raised For Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation 20th Anniversary Appeal

Legal experts at national law firm Irwin Mitchell have smashed their fundraising target to raise £22,733 in one month to mark the 20th anniversary of its charities foundation.

The Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation (IMCF) was founded in 1997 by partners and employees of Irwin Mitchell with the aim of supporting organisations which provide a vital service to the communities in which the law firm operates. It has since raised and donated more than £1.6 million for good causes both in the UK and abroad.

To mark the 20th anniversary milestone, employees from the law firm set themselves the mammoth task of raising £20,000 for the IMCF during October by holding events, selling special merchandise, and taking part in a number of sponsored activities.

All the funds will be distributed to each office’s Charity of the Year; local good causes which have been nominated by staff.

As part of the celebrations the IMCF raffled off an additional day of annual leave to members of staff in each office, sold cook books with favourite bake sale recipes and calendars featuring employees’ dogs. They also had two teams take part in a Rough Runner 10km obstacle course, threw a Wizard of Oz themed ball, held a firm wide Halloween cake sale and quiz nights in each office, to name just a few of the efforts which took the generous workforce past their total.
