

Leading Firm Makes Latest High Profile Hire
The Manchester office of leading law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed Commercial Litigation Partner, Duncan Hope, as it continues to invest in expanding its Business Legal Services (BLS) team.
Moving from DWF in Manchester, Duncan acts for a variety of clients including private companies, banks, and central and local government departments. He advises on a range of commercial litigation matters and specialises in contractual disputes, shareholder disagreements, professional negligence, pension disputes, fraud and arbitration.

Duncan’s appointment follows the recruitment earlier this year of DWF’S North West Head of Pensions, Andrew Ashley Taylor. Irwin Mitchell in Manchester also recently announced that it had recruited Real Estate Associate, Patricia Banno-Thornton, and Pensions Associate, Ian Mylrea.
So far this year, Irwin Mitchell has announced the arrival of Pensions Partner, Penny Cogher, Planning Partner Martha Grekos, Corporate Partner Simon Griffiths and Litigation specialist, Partner Donna Goldsworthy. Other partner hires in 2015 are Yorkshire-based Employment specialist Kirsty Ayre and Corporate Partner Philip Goldsborough who both moved to Irwin Mitchell from Pinsent Masons. Restructuring Partner Stephen George, Real Estate Partner Ben Acheson and Commercial Litigation specialist Simon Ellis.
