Irwin Mitchell Instructed To Investigate The Care He Received
An inquest is due to begin into the death of a Southend man who died despite his loved ones taking him to A&E and calling an ambulance twice within a six-hour period.
Steven ‘Jacko’ Jackson, 37, passed away on March 5th 2014 after he attended the Accident and Emergency department at Southend Hospital around 7am, complaining of difficulty breathing and swallowing.
The two-day inquest will begin on Monday 26th October at Chelmsford Coroner’s Court with HM Coroner Beasley-Murray. His family including his fiancée Shelley will be attending the hearing.
His family instructed medical negligence lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate the care he received by paramedics at the East of England Ambulance Trust.
Expert Opinion
“Steven’s family have understandably been left devastated by his sudden death.
“They would like to thank the Coroner for taking the time to investigate the circumstances of his death thoroughly and they hope that the inquest will help them begin to understand what happened and allow them to begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.”
