Local Leeds Charity SNAPS Provides Vital Support Across The Region
A Leeds law firm is getting into the festive spirit by sponsoring a local charity’s Christmas party this weekend.
Irwin Mitchell are delighted to be supporting SNAPS’ Christmas Party which is being held on Saturday 12th December at Penny Fields School, in Meanwood.
SNAPS, which stands for Special Needs and Parent Support, is an independent organisation run by families and provides support to families with children who have special needs, either physical or cognitive.
At the party there will be Bob the Magician entertaining the youngsters and also they are hoping for a visit from Father Christmas who promised to hand out presents even though it’s his busiest time of the year.
Expert Opinion
“The Christmas party is one of my favourite times with SNAPS.
“The children and their whole families have a brilliant time which is fantastic to see. SNAPS provides such an important resource to these families and I am privileged to be a part of such a great charity and to be able to provide support through our firm.”

The charity has been running for over 10 years and Irwin Mitchell is a long standing supporter of the organisation.
Every other Saturday, between 10 and 12, at a local Leeds school, SNAPS provide hydrotherapy, dance classes for children with mobility issues as well as advice and support services.
Chris Eatwell, chair of SNAPS, said: “Without the ongoing support of individuals and firms such as Irwin Mitchell we couldn’t survive – SNAPS provides a vital service for over 50 families.
“We would love to be able to reach out to more families across the region but need more support to do this. We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in the organisation and how SNAPS could help them.”
