Appointment Marks Latest Step In Expansion Of Business Legal Services
The Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell has boosted its specialist property litigation team with the appointment of solicitor Lisa Stratford.
Joining from the Manchester office of Weightmans, Lisa has specialised in commercial property litigation since qualifying in 2010 and works on behalf of commercial landlords and tenants on asset management issues including lease renewals, dilapidations claims, rent recovery and service charge disputes.
She also advises investors and developers on residential tenancy matters and leasehold enfranchisement issues and procedure.
Lisa is joining Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield-based property litigation team weeks after it improved its ranking in the Legal 500 directory and was praised for providing “extremely sound commercial advice” which is “valued by professionals and clients alike”.
The team works closely with the clients of the Sheffield real estate team, which moved up to a top tier ranking in the Legal 500 and was said to be “as good as it gets”.
Commenting on her move to Irwin Mitchell, Lisa said: “I was drawn to Irwin Mitchell by the innovation of the firm, and its ability and desire to evolve in line with the changes in the market has been more than evident since I joined.
“It is an exciting place to be right now and I hope to help the real estate side of the business to continue the impressive growth it has enjoyed over the past few years, as the firm continues to reach towards its vision of becoming the legal brand of choice.”
