Irwin Mitchell’s serious injury experts helped a motorcyclist after he collided with a car on his way to work.
The motorcyclist collided with the car when it pulled out from a side road into his path. The driver’s insurers admitted liability.
Our client sustained soft tissue injuries to his left shoulder, wrist and knees. He also suffered injuries to his left ankle and foot which required surgery and led to permanent scarring. The motorcyclist continues to suffer from discomfort and stiffness and also developed nightmares which despite gradually settling, prevented him returning to riding motorbikes.
Working with our client, we secured a settlement of over £40,000. As well as compensation for his injuries and ongoing symptoms, our client was also reimbursed for his lost earnings, expenses and received funds for recommended psychotherapy.
In relation to the case, serious injury expert Louise Morgan said: “Our client was off work for a few months following his nasty accident. Thankfully we were able to secure him an early interim payment to ease his financial worries as he only received sick pay whilst he was absent from work.”
