Irwin Mitchell’s workplace accident and personal injury team have recently secured £4,000 in compensation for a Nuneaton woman who was injured at work.
In June 2010, our client Jennifer was working as a warehouse operative in Nuneaton, helping distribute a wide range of consumables to well known supermarkets. Jennifer was asked to lift a heavy box containing a large number of jeans from the top storage shelf, which was approximately six feet high.
As Jennifer reached over her head to lift the box, she was not able to carry the weight, causing the box fall and strike Jennifer in the mouth.
Unfortunately, Jennifer fractured two of her teeth and damaged numerous other teeth. As a result, she had to get all of her damaged teeth extracted and was fitted with prosthetic ones once the gums had healed. Jennifer needed to take five weeks off work to ensure a full and stable recovery.
Irwin Mitchell’s highly experienced team of work place accident solicitors always work towards achieving the best result for the client and in this case, Jennifer was happy to accept an out of court settlement of £4,000.
