A British doctor who sustained serious injuries in a cycling accident in France has recovered a significant six figure settlement.
Our client was on a cycling holiday in France in 2002 when he was hit by a lorry. His serious injuries were initially considered to be life threatening and he required a long period of hospitalisation in France before being transferred to a UK hospital.
Following a period of rehabilitation, our client was fortunately able to return to his medical role, but with reduced work commitments.
He instructed the specialist injury and litigation team at Irwin Mitchell to help compensate him for his loss of earnings and the cost of his medical treatment. Following negotiations with the French insurers of the lorry driver, a substantial six figure sum of compensation was paid to our client.
We have helped thousands of people to claim millions of pounds of compensation following road traffic accidents abroad. See our Holiday Accidents & Illness Claims page to see how we can help you.
