Irwin Mitchell’s specialised personal injury team has helped a disabled man claim compensation after a fall at his local supermarket.
Our client who is disabled and a wheelchair user was shopping at his local Tesco. During his visit he decided to use the disabled toilet. Unbeknown to our client the toilet seat was loose and as he manoeuvred on to the toilet the seat gave way and our client fell to the floor.
As a result of the fall our client suffered from pain in his right wrist, right shoulder and now continues to suffer from anxiety. Our client lives alone and now finds it difficult to do some general cleaning around the house.
Our client decided to contact Irwin Mitchell’s specialised personal injury team and one of our experienced legal professionals, Katrina Elsey, was able to deal with his claim. Tesco admitted that it was their fault that the toilet seat was loose and with this Katrina was able secure the client £5,250 in compensation to aid in his recovery.
If you've been injured in a supermarket and it wasn't your fault, our personal injury claims team could help you claim compensation. See our Supermarket Accident Compensation Claims page for more information.
