Irwin Mitchell helped a man claim £3,000 in compensation after he slipped and fell during a visit to his local take-away.
Our client had visited this particular take-away a number of times before, but during this visit, he slipped and fell unexpectedly due to no warning signage in place of the wet surface inside the shop.
After collecting his meal, the man and his wife were leaving the shop via the front entrance when he slipped on the wet floor and fell heavily on his left elbow.
As a result of his fall, he also sustained symptoms of a frozen shoulder which required physiotherapy.
No appropriate signage was placed at the entrance to the premises, despite the wet conditions present.
Irwin Mitchell acted on his behalf and successfully concluded a payment of £3,000 in compensation for the gentleman for the injuries he had received as a result of the accident.
