Irwin Mitchell was instructed in relation to a claim for personal injury as a result of an accident in a Morrison Supermarket petrol forecourt.
The man attended at the petrol station with the intention of filling his car with petrol. He parked at a pump and proceeded to exit his vehicle. As our client got out of his car he was caused to step into a patch of sand, he subsequently identified that this sand had been placed over a spillage of either diesel or petrol. After the man filled his vehicle, he proceeded to walk to the station shop in order to pay. As the man entered the shop he suddenly slipped and fell to the ground as a result of the residue remaining on his footwear. As a result of the fall he sustained soft tissue injuries to his buttocks and groin.
Liability was admitted and the claim settled for £1400.00.
