Irwin Mitchell’s specialist accidents at work team has helped a 56-year-old woman claim over £3,600 in compensation after she was injured at work.
Our client, who was employed as a teacher at the time, was using the lift at the school she worked at. Earlier in the day, a cleaner had washed the floor directly outside the lift and failed to leave any signs to warn people about the wet floor. As our client exited the lift, she slipped on the wet floor and hit her head on a concrete pillar.
As a result of the accident, our client suffered a soft tissue strain to her neck and this unfortunately aggravated a long-standing
neck injury. Since the accident, our client has had to increase her pain medication and physiotherapy treatment.
Our client decided to contact Irwin Mitchell’s specialist accidents at work team and one of our experienced solicitors, Sally Rissbrook, was able to deal with her claim. The school admitted it was to blame for the accident and with this, Sally was able to secure our client £3,669.50 in compensation.
If you've been injured as a result of a slip or trip at work, our No Win No Fee solicitors could help you claim compensation. See our Workplace Slip & Trip Claims page for more information.
