A man from Leeds has sustained injuries to his arm after slipping on a patch of ice. A pipe positioned directly above a doorway was leaking water onto the path and steps of a building. Unfortunately due to cold weather, the water froze and caused our client to slip and fall. As a result of his fall our client fractured his left arm and required surgery to insert two pins and a wire into his elbow. Thankfully, he has now regained full use of his arm and has received £5,600 in compensation.
A slipping accident led a lady from West Yorkshire to seek help from Irwin Mitchell solicitors after a fall in a public house. The surface of the dance floor was wet and, while dancing, our client slipped on the wet surface and landed on a piece of broken glass. The fall resulted in a cut to her leg which required several stitches. As a result of her injuries, the client had to undergo an operation to remove the glass from her knee. She received £6,400 in compensation following her accident.
A lady who was injured when she fell in the Victoria Shopping Centre in Harrogate has received compensation following her accident. The lady was out shopping when she slipped and fell and seriously injured her left shoulder. The injuries meant the movement in her left shoulder was severely limited. Compensation was awarded to the client for the injuries she sustained and the losses and expenses incurred during and after her treatment, including loss of earnings and travel expenses. Thankfully, due to physiotherapy treatment funded by the success of the compensation claim, she has made a good recovery and has been able to return to her pre-accident lifestyle.
