Solicitors at Irwin Mitchell assisted a woman to claim compensation after she slipped and fell at a swimming pool.
The incident happened on 9 January 2012 when the woman was attending West Hants Sports Club to to participate in an Aqua Class. Our client had been a member of the club since 2003 and regularly attended the Aqua Class.
As our client arrived at the premises, she changed into her swimming gear and secured her personal belongings in a locker. As she was walking across the changing room in order to speak with friends, she suddenly slipped and fall, hitting a nearby bench before landing face down on the tiled floor.
As a result of the incident, our client sustained an injury to her knee, bruising and a laceration to her eye. The bruising to her face settled within four to six weeks and eight months after accident, our client still experiences stiffness in her knee after sitting for a period of time.
The Case settled in October 2012 in the sum of for £1500.
