Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Public Liability team have settled a claim on behalf of a man who sustained injury after having a large metal laundry trolley pushed into his legs as he walked past a hotel in Oxford.
Our client sustained soft tissue injuries and lacerations to his lower leg and ankle and had to seek medical treatment for his injuries. He was also provided with antibiotics as the wound became infected. Furthermore, he was left with some minor residual scarring just above his right heel.
A claim was intimated to the Defendant on 14 December 2011 and liability was subsequently admitted. Our team also obtained a medical report which confirmed the client’s injuries and photographs of the scarring were also provided to the Defendant.
Following disclosure of the medical evidence and photographs our team were able to settle the claim for £2,250 by way of compensation for the injuries he sustained, plus payment of the legal costs.
