Irwin Mitchell’s experienced public liability team recently settled a claim for man who was hit by a falling object in a public house.
On the 3rd July 2011 our client was seated at a table in a public house. When suddenly and without warning a large menu board came crashing down, striking him on the back of his head.
As a result of the falling object our client received a concussion which later resulted in some nausea. He also developed a large bump from where the menu board had impacted his head. Luckily these injuries subsided and he suffered no long term injury from the accident.
After the accident, liability was admitted by the Defendant's insurers and Irwin Mitchell was able to secure £1,500 in compensation for our client.
