Irwin Mitchell has assisted a Huddersfield lady to obtain £85,000 in compensation for injuries sustained in a head on road traffic collision that took place in April 2007.
At the time the accident occurred our client was driving home. The Defendant drove his vehicle onto our client's side of the road and collided with her head on.
As a result of the accident the lady sustained serious orthopaedic injuries including a fracture to her right arm and injury to her left knee. The client required surgery to both her right arm and left knee. She also sustained a minor head injury, facial bruising and swelling. The client remained off work for a considerable period of time whilst she was recovering from her injuries.
In addition to receiving compensation for the injuries sustained, our client was reimbursed her loss of earnings, travelling expenses, treatment that she had paid for herself, money towards plastic surgery to treat facial injuries and money for potential future loss of earnings claim. During the course of the claim, monies were obtained from the Defendant's insurer to cover the cost of treatment which the Claimant required at that time. This assisted with her rehabilitation.
